Lighting Things Up in Chicago

ORA had the pleasure of hosting a tour at the Leviton LIVE experience center in Chicago. The state-of-the-art facility will allow customers to experience first-hand how Leviton’s innovative products can transform any space via private in-person or virtual tours. Located in the heart of Chicago on Rush Street, this latest addition to Leviton’s existing LIVE facilities was designed to not only showcase the wide range of Leviton products, but to highlight its best-in-class lighting brands and how they integrate with smart, flexible and secure controls.

While in the Chicago area, ORA also hosted a tour of the Dado Lighting factory. Dado is known for creating the first zero cavity fixtures the thickness of drywall. All components of Dado products are made in Chicago with the exception of the LED chip and acrylic light guide panel—because there are no North American sources for these. All projects are built in-house and pre-assembled to ensure the fixture exactly matches up to the drawings. All components are tested, labeled and packaged to ensure smooth installation on the job site.

Dado Lighting fixtures are made of highly recyclable aluminum extrusions. The lenses and knuckles are also recyclable. Dado also takes great care in designing the shipping materials to be 99% recyclable to reduce job site waste.

ORA was thrilled to host industry leaders: Randy Sabedra, Principal of RS Lighting Design; Khorkhe Younes, founder of Studio EMY; and Sara Jane Demel, Associate Principal of SBLD Studio for an exclusive tour at the Leviton LIVE experience center in Chicago. Thank you for joining us!
